Fees and other costs
Basic fees for accommodation in
this luxurious site starts at £1100 per
week and include:food, subsidized holidays, 24
hour staffing, yearly health check review, in
house activities, minibus trips, visits to relatives
and other venues and non designer toiletries.
Additional needs will be negotiated at extra charges
depending on the individual’s requirements
and needs. We also subsidize 50 % Day Care Training
Fees.
Referral
Service users referred to Unicorn
House will be assessed in order to ascertain their
individual needs. Offers of a residential placement
are subject to assessment and placement recommendations
and are based on the individual service user’s
needs and compatibility.
We are happy to consider respite
and emergency admissions as well as refugees with
learning disabilities.
After 4 weeks of placement, the Home and Placement
Officers will meet to evaluate placement to reflect
met needs, suitability and recommendations
Holidays
The Home will ensure that the service
users are offered holidays with members of staff
at least once a year. Residents with less than
£2000 bank savings will benefit from the
House budget of £200 every year to subsidize
for their holidays.
Reviews
There will be a yearly or six monthly
review meeting to discuss and monitor service
users’ on-going care and progress through
regular assessment, planning, implementation and
an evaluation process with the involvement of
the resident, a multidisciplinary team, a key
worker and relative/s using the Person Centred
Plan.
