Unicorn House

The home is designed to support and provide services for adult with learning disabilities who may have challenging behaviours, epilepsy and autism or associated health issues or special needs to live in a homely residential environment for medium to long-term placement. We place emphasis on Holistic Care approach. We provide for rehabilitation and training into Community living. We enhance our quality of Care by operating a Day Care Centre as well as a Training School for staff accredited by Edexcel and City & Guilds and DFES registered, and provide CPI under BILD recommendation.

Location

This Unit is situated in Waddon, Croydon, which is of easy access by Tram Bus and Rail into Central Croydon. We are near enough to London as well as minutes away from the Countryside.

Bevan House is a 6 beds home ; all the rooms are beautifully decorated with traditional furnishing and offers a spacious comfortable lounge , a coffee area and a dining room. The Home has a large garden with constructed facilities for a small sheltered workshop. Parking is easy in this area of Croydon.

This is a care home for people with learning disabilities, special needs with challenging behaviours & Rehab facilities. The house is very well maintained with double-glazing throughout and carpet renewed frequently. Glass panes are of shatterproof quality in the building. As per requirements all hot water outlets are controlled by thermostatic valves for clients’ safety and are monitored on a weekly basis. We are also member of Peninsula H&S monitors and member of BILD.

The house provides a relaxing atmosphere with leather settees for easy cleaning. Furniture are exceptionally chosen so that they do neither wear off easily nor become an issue of hazard. Each new room has extended facilities. Clients are empowered to make changes in their rooms as they so wish. All residents are offered keys for their bedrooms. We assume Mental Capacity until proven otherwise.
